Gameplay
Every player begins with a plot of land, which is the foundation of their empire. The land plots in Illuvium: Zero are tiered from 1 to 5, with Tier 1 being the most common and Tier 5 being the rarest and most productive. Your primary goal is to optimize your land to efficiently gather elements, which are crucial for powering extraction mechanisms to produce fuel.
The game revolves around two key resources: Elements and Fuel. Elements include Carbon, Hydrogen, and Silicon, each vital for different aspects of the game. For example, Carbon is necessary to produce Solon fuel cells, which are essential for crafting and upgrading equipment. The fuels – Crypton, Hyperion, and Solon – are integral for various activities in the Illuvium Overworld, such as traveling, capturing Illuvials, and crafting.
Blueprints
The Gateway to NFTsBlueprints represent a thrilling aspect of Illuvium Zero, allowing players to convert in-game skins for weapons and armor into NFTs. To find blueprints, you must scan for Illuvial biodata using a Singularity Scanner and research it in the Materials Lab. These blueprints can be highly scarce, adding an element of rarity and value to your finds.
Each land plot is unique, requiring a tailored strategy for resource and element management. Balancing Carbon, Hydrogen, and Silicon is crucial for steady gameplay, and this balance can be further optimized with Power Stations.
Free-to-Play vs. Pay-to-Play
Illuvium: Zero offers a dual experience catering to both free-to-play enthusiasts and players who prefer the pay-to-play model. With an infinite number of land plots available, you can build your empire without spending a dime or choose to invest in premium plots to harvest NFTs and trade resources on the IlluviDex.
How to Get Started
Desktop Installation (PC & Mac)
- Access the Game Portal:Visit the official Illuvium portal at https://play.illuvium.io/ and click on the “Zero” option to proceed.
- Link Your Wallet:Click on “Link Wallet to Play”. This step is mandatory and must be completed on a PC. To access the Alpha, you must link the wallet that holds your Land Plot(s). Be cautious, as currently, there is no option to unlink a wallet once it’s connected.
- Download the Game:Choose “Download for Windows/Mac/Android” depending on your operating system.
- Extract the Game Files:Once downloaded, extract the files to a new folder you’ve named to keep things organized.
- Launch Illuvium Zero:Locate the Illuvium Zero icon within the new folder and open it to start the game.
- Log In and Play:Use your Illuvium.io credentials to log in and immerse yourself in the Illuvium Zero Alpha experience.
Mobile Installation (Android or iOS)
The process for Android or iOS users mirrors the desktop steps, with the game available for download directly from the Illuvium portal. Ensure your device is compatible and has sufficient storage before downloading and installing the game.
